Molten Chocolate Cake
A perfect dessert for the chocolate lover in your family. Serves 4.
4 ripe pears, preferably Bosc due to their texture
Whipped cream or melted chocolate, if desired
Directions
Set slow cooker to low heat.
Peel and core pears, and place in slow cooker.
In a large mixing bowl, combine wine, brown sugar, cherries, cinnamon, star anise, and peppercorn, if desired.
Pour wine mixture over pears.
Cook pears for 4 to 5 hours, or until almost tender.
Serve pears with a spoonful of cooking liquid, and top with whipped cream or melted chocolate, if desired.
