Vanilla Custard Recipe

Ingredients for Vanilla Custard Recipe

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. skim milk, scalded


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Beat the eggs and stir in the sugar, salt, and vanilla. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Add in the milk and stir well.
  4. Pour into small custard bowls and stand bowls in a pan of hot water.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven let chill in refrigerator for several hours before serving.
