Ingredients for Rice Cream Recipe
- 1½ cups rice, washed
- 3 cups milk, scalded
- 1 lemon, rind only, grated
- 1/3 cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ cup cream, whipped
- Scald the milk first and drop into it spoonful by spoonful the rice.
- Add the lemon rind and nutmeg.
- Let cook slowly for about 40 minutes.
- Add the sugar.
- Pour into glasses and let cool.
- Serve with whipped cream on top.
