Ingredients for Indian Griddle Cakes Recipe

  • 2/3 quart corn meal
  • 1/3 quart flour
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 heaping tsps. baking powder
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 pint milk

Instructions

  1. Sift together corn meal, flour, salt, sugar, and powder.
  2. Add beaten eggs and milk; mix into a smooth batter.
  3. Bake on very hot griddle to a nice brown, flipping once.
  4. Serve with molasses or maple syrup.
