Ingredients for Fairy Apple Pie Recipe

  • 4 large, tart apples
  • Pot of hot water
  • 3 egg whites
  • Pastry shell


  1. Core and quarter apples without paring.
  2. Steam over hot water until tender, rub through a sieve, sweeten to taste and chill.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff and dry.
  4. Add the apples, flavor to taste, and beat again.
  5. Turn into a half-baked pastry shell and finish baking in a moderate oven.
  6. Serve hot with cream and sugar or whipped cream.
