Egg Custard

Ingredients for Egg Custard

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Dash of nutmeg
  • 3 cups scalded milk
  • Pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Beat eggs.
  3. While still stirring the eggs, slowly add the sugar, salt, vanilla, and nutmeg.
  4. Pour batter into pie crust and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. After 10 minutes, cut heat back to 350 degrees and cook for another 25 minutes.
