  • 2 cups milk, scalded
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Mix eggs and sugar, beating slightly.
  2. Add the scalded milk and flavoring.
  3. When well mixed, strain through a strainer.
  4. Fill a pudding dish with the custard mixture.
  5. Set pudding dish in a baking pan partially filled with boiling water.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 to 35 minutes.
