Ingredients for Classic Peanut Brittle
- 1 pint shelled and chopped roasted peanuts
- 2 pounds granulated sugar
- Put granulated sugar in clean frying-pan.
- Stir over low heat.
- It will lump, then gradually melt.
- When the sugar becomes clear and the color of pale coffee, add peanuts and stire. Pour the mixture quickly on buttered tin sheet.
- Roll as thin as possible.
- When cold, break up into pieces.
