Cheese Souffle

Ingredients for Cheese Souffle with Pastry Recipe

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2/3 cup thin cream
  • 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Note: Depending on preference, use mild, sharp, or extra sharp Cheddar cheese.

Instructions

  1. Add the egg whites to the cream and beat slightly.
  2. Mix in the cheeses and seasonings.
  3. Pour into patty pans lined with puff pastry dough.
  4. Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
