Cauliflower Celery Soup

Ingredients for Cauliflower and Celery Soup Recipe

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 stalk of celery, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup of shredded carrots
  • 3 cups of water
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can of green peas, drained (optional)
  • 1 can of white beans, drained (optional)
  • 1 cup of cooked pasta (optional)


  1. Remove florets from cauliflower.
  2. Put 2 inches of water in a saucepan over high heat.
  3. Add cauliflower florets.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. While cauliflower is cooking, put olive oil in a stock pot over medium heat.
  8. When oil is hot, add onions, celery and carrots to the pot.
  9. Sauté onions, celery and carrots in olive oil for 5 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. When the cauliflower's cooking time is up, use a colander to drain it.
  12. Place cauliflower into a stock pot over medium heat.
  13. Add cauliflower to stock pot with sautéed vegetables.
  14. Add all other ingredients (except for optional ones) to stock pot.
  15. Return to stove.
  16. Simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes.
  17. Stir in optional ingredients of your choice.
  18. Serve hot.
