Ingredients for Beets And Sweet Potatoes, Candied Recipe

  • 6 beets
  • 4 sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • Seasonings to taste
  • 2 pots of water

Instructions

  1. Boil beets in salted water for 30 minutes.
  2. Boil sweet potatoes in a separate pot of water for about 20 minutes.
  3. Peel beets and potatoes and slice them into equal thickness.
  4. Place in baking or pudding dish.
  5. Cover with molasses, butter, water, and seasonings.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven for about 20 minutes.
