Ingredients for Banana Sherbet Recipe

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • Banana extract


  1. In a small saucepan, stir together 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar.
  2. Bring to boil and simmer until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  4. Stir in the mashed bananas and 1 to 2 drops of the extract.
  5. Pour mixture into a freezer safe dish.
  6. Freeze for 3 hours or until edges are set and firm to the touch.
  7. Remove from freezer.
  8. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  9. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium until smooth.
  10. Return to the freezer for at least 2 hours or until set.
