Ingredients for Baked Bean Soup Recipe

  • 3 cups cold baked beans
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 pints water
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 slices onion
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 2 stalks celery
  • Salt
  • 1½ cups stewed and strained tomatoes
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Put beans, water, onion, and celery in saucepan.
  2. Bring to boiling-point and simmer thirty minutes.
  3. Rub through a sieve and add tomato and chili sauce.
  4. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and bind with the butter and flour cooked together.
  5. Serve with crackers.
